On topic - well Bungie have done it again, whilst other FPS's try and catch up with Halo3's matchmaking brilliance (a 2 year old game) Bungie moves the goal posts again showing that they are the TRUE masters of this genre.

Just because SC:C hasnt got the best visuals ever doesn't mean it's not a top-notch game.
To be blantantly honest, Uncharted2, Killzone2,GT5 and Crysis all look pretty neat and are arguabaly prettier than anything the 360 has yet turned out.
However these games,whilst graphical powerhouses (especially Crysis) still dont hold a candle to the gameplay of Halo3 multiplayer......a game which is well over 2 years old now.

Even if the full game has visuals this solid and non improved i am more than happy for them......gameplay is the best in this genre to.
@Bef For Mercy - GOW3 is nice looking, very epic but to be honest - Ninja Gaiden owns it so much in the gameplay department that it's not funny.

The graphics are awesome, gritty and in your face - for this kinda game it suits it perfectly.......you do realise that on consoles at least there are very few games, non racing, that run at true 1080p, not upscaled, don't you?
Demo is very short but it is very good.

360 graphics arent miles behind the PS3's apart from a choice 3 games they are, at the moment, on par with each other.
Some multiplats are better on the 360, others on the PS3

Being a massive fps fan i can tell you that playing 4 vs 4 is much more intense than 128 vs 128 on a decent map - you actually feel capable of changing the outcome in a big way if your on form playing 4 vs 4.....not that 256 pl...
all games 1080p, 120fps and 4D.......all PS3's complete with 2 hdmi out's to output the same image on 2 screens at the same time....
Sony ARE the masters of hype - sometimes they deliver (Killzone2 graphics) and sometimes they just spout rubbish.
I hope Move will succeed but it won't for the hardcore gamers, replace a pad for shooters, no way.

History tells us the following with multiplatforms as a rule (a mass majority of the time).
If a game is lead on the 360 the PS3 version will be inferior, sometimes slightly,sometimes in a huge way.
If a game is lead on the PS3 then the 360 version will still be equal to it due to its superior archetecture and pc like ease of programming.

along with Alan Wake and Halo:Reach this is going to be the gaming experience of the year - i hope so anyway.
Can't wait to see how fluidly smooth it plays like and it will be a joy to use a proper stealth system again with a true 'badass' character.

Is this game a failure?.....no.....with next to no hype and a small budget it does pretty well all things considered.
There wasn't a boss battle per se in Halo3 - more of an adrenaline filled drive against the clock to flee exploding platforms and park your hog in a spacecraft.
Oooooooh by the way - the music on that level was something special. :D
